The Little Prince: A Book Full of Love and Care

I am sure everyone has read or heard about The Little Prince at least one time. It is written by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry in 1943. Although it is an old book, it still remains popular. Because it is one of those timeless books for everyone and all ages. In addition to that it is the most translated book in the world with 480 languages.

It is an inspirational book. Also has beautiful meanings. It can be said that it shows us how adults get narrow-minded as time passes meanwhile children see the world with no restrictions.

These are some of the themes in the book, love, friendship, and loneliness. As it can be understood that the very relatable terms for everyone. Because each person feels these in their life from time to time. Even there are times that we feel all of them at once. So, it makes the book appealing.

Furthermore, the book emphasizes the importance of sentimental value rather than materiality. “The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched, they are felt with the heart.” With this quote, I believe it is apparent.

Then we can see that it is not important that a type has multiple instances however if we make a connection with one of them the others are not as important as ours. For example, if you have a cat does not matter how cute the others, your cat will be the cutest one. :) Here's a quote from the book that fits perfectly: “You're beautiful, but you're empty... One couldn't die for you. Of course, an ordinary passerby would think my rose looked just like you. But my rose, all on her own, is more important than all of you together, since she's the one I've watered. Since she's the one I put under glass, since she's the one I sheltered behind the screen. Since she's the one for whom I killed the caterpillars (except the two or three butterflies). Since she's the one I listened to when she complained, or when she boasted, or even sometimes when she said nothing at all. Since she's my rose.”

One can understand from the book that what we have is unique because we are unique and to see it, we do not have to have many things in the world. Our loved ones would be enough to appreciate life and all. Of course, we have a right to want a stable, peaceful life without facing so many challenges and unfortunately, only love is not enough in the real world I believe.
